Return to Blogging

Yesterday I grew so frustrated with both Instagram and Facebook that I was this close to deleting my accounts (again....for the fifth time).  If I wanted to watch short videos, I'd download TikTok or go suffer through the frenetic shorts on YouTube.  But alas, how else to keep in touch with family?  Facebook.  As for  Instagram, it was at one time a great place for enjoying pictures, but even with following just two "calm" accounts, my feed is inundated with short videos, both ads and suggested accounts to follow.

So what does that have to do with this blog?  It's a reminder to myself when I want to go back to Instagram that it's chaotic and no longer akin to thumbing through a magazine filled with pretty pictures.  As far as Facebook goes, it will just have stay.  I miss far too much from my family and friends, and the last time I blogged, only three people from Facebook actually looked at my blog.

So won't you please consider yourself welcome and stop by for a brief respite from the outside world and enjoy future posts about food, family, faith, homemaking, and nature?  If only one person reads this blog it will be fantastic; and if no one reads this blog, that's fantastic too!  If nothing else, it will serve for me the purpose of an online scrapbook of sorts.   And I solemnly promise, I rarely complain and this blog will not become a soapbox for me to bemoan how bad social media has become and how short attention spans must be these days.

End of March

Our March came in like a lamb and truly left like a lion.  The winds were ferocious!  I was even a little scared driving home from the groce...
